Age is fixed as on 31 December of the admission year. To qualify you need Class 12 (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology as compulsory subjects, and a PCB aggregate of at least 50% (40% for SC/ST/OBC, 45% for PwBD general).
How NEET-UG age eligibility works
The only age condition NEET-UG places is a floor: you have to be 17 or older. Ever since the Supreme Court's 2018 verdict there has been no ceiling, so candidates of any age above 17 stay in the running.
The reference point is 31 December of the admission year — not the day you fill the form or write the exam. Whether you qualify comes down to your age on that fixed date.
