Getting it right for NEET-UG: on a printed photo, mark your name and the date it was taken along the bottom edge. The backdrop has to be white or very light grey, and the shot should be recent — within three months — so staff can recognise you at the centre. Good lighting and strong contrast go a long way toward avoiding rejection.

What is the NEET photo size?
NTA usually specifies a 480×576 pixel photo — roughly 3.5×4.5 cm at 200 DPI — of 10–200 KB in JPG on a white background. Cross-check the current NTA information bulletin to be certain.
What is the NEET signature size?
The signature sits around 480×144 pixels and 4–30 KB in JPG. Sign with black ink on plain white paper, then scan or photograph it so it comes out sharp.
Does NEET require the candidate's name on the photo?
NTA advises — and in some years insists — that you print your name and the date the photo was taken across the bottom before scanning it in.
What happens if my NEET photo is rejected?
An unacceptable photo can get your whole application rejected, which means no admit card. Sticking precisely to the stated dimensions and KB range avoids that.
Can I use the same photo for NEET and JEE?
Reuse it only when it clears both sets of rules, which can differ. NEET and JEE Main sit on separate NTA portals, so it is best to upload a copy sized for each.
Is a mobile phone photo acceptable for NEET?
A phone photo works fine as long as the background is plain white, the lighting is good, your face reads clearly, and you resize it to the required dimensions and KB range.
