Q1
The temperature of a metal strip having coefficient of linear expansion \(\alpha\) is increased from \({\mathrm{T}}_{1}\) to \({\mathrm{T}}_{2}\) resulting in increase of its length by \(\Delta {L}_{1}\). The temperature is further increased from \({T}_{2}\) to \({T}_{3}\) such that the increase in its length is \(\Delta {\mathrm{L}}_{2}\).
Given \({\mathrm{T}}_{3}+{\mathrm{T}}_{1}=2{\mathrm{T}}_{2}\) and \({\mathrm{T}}_{2}-{\mathrm{T}}_{1}=\Delta \mathrm{T}\), the value of \(\Delta {\mathrm{L}}_{2}\) is ________
