At this stage Science moves fast across physics, chemistry and biology within the same chapter list, so it's worth being deliberate about which of the three a given chapter is testing before you dive in — the right approach (calculation vs. concept vs. recall) differs for each.

Tip: Short, frequent revision of earlier chapters works better here than one long pass — the three subjects don't reinforce each other the way sequential chapters in a single subject do.

The 13 chapters covered here: Exploration: Entering the World of Secondary Science, Cell: The Building Block of Life, Tissues in Action, Describing Motion Around Us, Exploring Mixtures and their Separation, How Forces Affect Motion, Work, Energy, and Simple Machines, Journey Inside the Atom, Atomic Foundations of Matter, Sound Waves: Characteristics and Applications, Reproduction: How Life Continues, Patterns in Life: Diversity and Classification, Earth as a System: Energy, Matter, and Life.
